Our commitment to Canal Shores is especially meaningful because Scott Hunken serves on the Board of Trustees for the nonprofit Canal Shores, reflecting our firm's dedication to giving back to organizations that strengthen our community.

Canal Shores' connection to the legacy of Chick Evans is truly inspiring. A graduate of Evanston High School and one of the greatest amateur golfers in history, Evans chose a remarkable path—partnering with the Western Golf Association to establish the Evans Scholars Foundation in 1930. His vision has since provided full tuition and housing scholarships to more than 13,000 caddies, empowering young people to pursue higher education and brighter futures.

Today, The Evans at Canal Shores, located less than a mile from the first Evans Scholarship House at Northwestern University, stands as a meaningful reminder of how one person's generosity can transform countless lives.
